Travelling is one one of my favorite things to do, after
pastry. This time I was Bali, Indonesia, which I hadn’t visited for years.
There I have been visiting several Cocoa plantations, and have found out that
Bali, has excellent cocoa been quality and is now suffering the “big
market pressure”. It’s a small Island
that has only small cocoa producers, which manage to have an eco-friendly and
good quality product, but also have difficulties, as they don’t have the technology
and infrastructure of the big cocoa companies. While driving around with my scooter,
mostly in the north of the Island, you could see Cocoa trees with beautiful
beens, basically everywhere you looked, just beside the road.
